WOo.. I'm back from Tioman. The trip was amazing and i really wish to go back there again. :) Off civilisation.. nice beach.. nice fish.. nice ppl.. nice weather.. nice scenery.. nice water.. Everything there is nice.. oh yes NICE CAT n KITTEN!! i'm so in love with the tioman cats (must emphasize not the s'pore ones)
Day 1: "Fall in" at golden mile centre at 6am n took a bus ride all the way to Mersing (Johore). Took a speed boat to Kg Genting, the place we're staying in tioman.. We're rather disappointed when we saw tt place.. SUPER OFF civilisation.. like some kampong liddat (KAMPONG GEnting.. DUH!).. Stayed at Island Reef Resort.. Sounds nice..? lol.. it's rather lousy.. one "chalet" got 2 rooms.. inside e room got 2 queen size beds.. dressing table.. tv.. bathroom.. okok.. just look damn dark n kinda dirty.. Just checked out from the net.. this resort is about 2-3 star.. LOL.. met up with our Island Reef guide, Ronnie, at 1630. He wanted to teach us how to snorkel.. Along the beach.. We actually saw a message-in-a-bottle kinda thing.. it was in a testtube.. Opened up the paper.. The person just make some wishes.. inside still got one Singapore 5 cent coin inside.. So most prob the person who made this is a Singaporean.. so cool!! Didn't know you have to spit on ur mask surface to prevent it from getting misty.. so cool.. anyway.. i was one of the 2 person whom wasn't confident of our swimming.. so Ronnie thought us how to swim while the rest alr went out to the sea.. We learnt the breast-stroke-but-u-kick-instead style.. lol.. Later Ronnie brought me to the deeper part.. WOO.. ALL THOSE CORALS N FISHES ARE DAMN NICE.. SO NICE.. He caught 2 sea urchin on the spot and let us try.. Hmm.. edible.. a bit.. like abalone.. HEE.. Then we went to the rocks nearby to get some fresh oysters.. cos the oysters are all stuck on the rock.. so we used stone to hit them down.. tried one.. not too bad.. but i dun really like it though.. btw it's the 1st time i tasted oyster.. cos all the time in s'pore.. my family eat.. fried oyster without oyster.. On our way back to the resort.. we saw black sand.. according to ronnie.. Tioman used to be a volcano land.. all these black sand is supposedly some elements tt flowed out of the volcano.. i also not very sure.. but the sand is damn nice.. shiny shiny one.. The rest of the night we just hang out at the beach bar playing dai dee n bluff..
Day 2: Had breakfast at the resort then set off for our 1st snorkel destination.. Renggis Island i think.. The boat just stop in the middle of the sea then we all jumped in.. cos i still not confident with my swimming.. decided to wear life jacket.. SO SAD lor.. can onli float on the surface.. cannot even go into the water.. but it was nice though.. SO many fishes swimming around u.. Now i know the meaning of a SCHOOL of fish.. ALOT ALOT.. lol.. so we saboed each other by throwing bread near or onto the person then all the fishes will CHIONG towards u.. At least i know victor n kevin was rather scared.. i haf no idea why though.. LOL.. Again.. Ronnie brought me to someother places further away from the boat.. WOO.. Beautiful corals.. Lotsa Ikan Bilis.. Colourful fishes.. I dun actually know what species are they.. LOL.. 1 hr plus go back to boat.. Next destination MARINE PARK!! Alight at the jetty.. Looked down.. the fishes here are 5 times bigger than those in Renggis Island.. SCARY.. 4 of them decided to dive into the sea from the jetty.. I wanted to go down by the ladder.. then Ronnie shouted "JUMP DOWN FROM HERE! Only rich ppl don't dare to jump.. U rich ah?" kaoz.. actually i quite gian to jump down also la.. so i did it.. SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!! i actually did a jetty jump heehee!! The thing i didn't get to do in OBS.. Amazingly the fishes didn't attack me.. hee.. Ronnie brought me around again.. SAW STINGRAY HIDING IN THE SAND!! the ronnie go kajiao it.. then it swam away.. so cute!! saw the supposedly "nemo" ronnie talked about..SO PUny!! according to him, the big one got caught by other pplalr.. so sad.. he brought me under the jetty.. more fishes there.. so cool.. onething i forgot to ask ronnie is that.. How come there are aso many tables and chairs under water.. somemore arrange until quite nice.. After tt he left me alone.. so it was the usual sabotaged.. got scolded to kevin n victor for wanting to sabotage.. :( Got to eat one Ramly burger back at the jetty.. cos kevin forgot to tell the person dun want chilli.. so i took tt chilli burger while he order a new one.. lol.. NICE!.. maybe cos we're hungry.. NEXT!!! we went to the famous Rock Fall at Paya Beach.. like spring water liddat.. We kinda "bathe" there..Ronnie brought soap and picked a pebble from the water.. He demo it on another gurl.. that is to put soap around ur body n rub n massage it with the pebble.. Supposed to exfoliate ur skin.. hee.. nice.. BAck to resort for rest n dinner.. When night trekking in the jungle.. Ronnie wanted to show us fireflies.. lol.. we only saw one kind.. so sad.. according to him is "fire worm".. dun fly one.. pass a stream too.. saw some mini tiny weeny prawns.. lol.. QUite amazed tt there are actually one or 2 hsehold inside the jungle.. so scary.. saw 2 guys staying there in the jungle.. they were hunting for rain deer.. woo.. after tt we hang out at the jetty to look at the sky FULL OF STARS.. IT's TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Singapore will nv have the view.. :( nonetheless.. the sky was totally beautiful.. saw these 4 stars.. form "The Cross" or something liddat.. Ronnie mentioned it.. if u got lost in a jungle or something.. can look out for "The Cross" and walk towards it.. so something liddat.. We hung out at the jetty.. then got this kitten kept come near us.. Notorious Kevin was "trying" to kick it away..!! Then got this native tioman man (or what u call him) saw us like so unfriendly to the kitten, came over n played with it.. just to show us that it's harmless.. by the way.. the man is deaf.. then the kitten started running around with him.. SO CUTE!! He was showing us some hand signs which we dun understand.. but i understood the "LOVE" sign.. so we roughly know what he's trying to tell us.. Xy n i started playing with it.. i started talking to it.. I think i was tired.. but i thought the kitten kinda understand me.. we decided to leave the jetty to catch up with the guys.. Then the kitten started running towards us.. I DIDn't realise it was behind me.. I KINDA KICKED IT!!!!!!!.. felt super bad.. then the kitten like stayed at one corner.. tried sayanging her (i guess) and talk to her somemore.. but she like ignore us :(.. so we went off.. lol.. We lied along the beach to look at the beautiful sky.. was away to buy drinks.. when i came back.. xy alr saw 3 shooting stars.. omg.. so i was like staying there to wait for another one to comeby but to no avail.. wait until they wanna go back.. skali we go back.. xy n i still dun wanna sleep.. went back to the beach to try our luck again.. still didn't get to see.. wait for about 15 min go back again.. Tired.
Day 3: Free n easy today.. Didn't know what to do.. They wanted to jet-ski but it's RM160 per hr.. rather ex.. Ronnie suggested that we can go trekking.. But they seem quite uninterested.. But somehow.. as we walked along the beach.. we ended up trekking to paya beach.. First obstacle.. A BROKEN BRIDGE.. Most of the wooden planks dropped down alr.. We tried to step on one or 2 of the stable ones and help eachother out.. we managed to get thru.. After tt was quite smooth sailing.. up n down the slope.. suddenly ah vic was like "OUCH! F***!" then he knelt down.. scare us.. he got stung by a bee.. like super pain liddat.. we also didn't know what to do.. but he seems fine after a while.. according to him is just the sudden pain.. just hope to walk faster so he can get medicine from the paya ppl.. finally after 50 min.. we reached PAYA.. as bowlers (LOL!).. WE felt great sense of achievement.. went to the provisional cum souvenier shop for ah vic medication plus water plus souvenier.. the lady boss there offer us 2-way taxi boat to berjaya for RM$150.. Hang out at paya for ice kachang n had learn-how-to-make-stone-skid-more-than-1-time lesson from xy n kevin.. still can't do it.. :(.. left for berjaya.. Speed boat was damn zai...... so fasttttttt... btw berjaya resort is a 5star resort in tioman.. walked ard.. saw this super big hse on top of the hill... what's amazing is that there is an elevator which travels from the hill top to land.. so cool. ask the ppl working ard there if we can go up n see.. he said cannot.. son of the berjaya's boss staying there.. cannot go up.. :(.. super amaze.. berjaya resort had what a 5 star resort gotta haf. restaurants.. swimming pools etcetc.. but was damn boring.. by then marcus n xy was very ill alr.. we walked ard at berjaya.. marcus was at the lobby sleeping.. got van-ride to TOWN.. RM$30 for 4 of us. of cos town means got lotsa shops or something liddat right.. skali we reach there.. it's just a departmental cum souvenier stall (the size of a ntuc supermarket).. TT's ALL!! asked the driver if there's any other shps we could go.. he said "this one.." us: "only This???!!" him:"ya.. only this".. LOL.. shop for less than 15 min left alr.. he was nice enough to bring us to another nearby souvenier shop.. also nothing one.. pengz.. went back to genting.. chilled out at beachbar again.. btw the beer there super cheap.. tiger,heineken, carlsberg.. one can only RM$3-4.. corona RM$8.. cheap right.. played poker cards again.. looks like i had a 4days 3nights dai-dee n bluff training man.. i'm always last.. until tt night.. i won for the first time.. felt so proud of myself.. LOL.. they say i can't bluff.. saw another fat cat tht night.. XY was trying to lure it to come forward by putting her hand infront of the cat.. then the cat move forward.. looked at xy hand then used one of its paws to whack her palm.. I MEAN literally whack.. imagine the cat was sitting down.. then it used one paw to whack xy hand.. SUPER DUPER CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like zhao cai mao.. I WAS LAUGHING SO LOUDLY TT Everyone was looking at me....... SO SO CUTE.. but all of them thought i was crazy.. start talking to the cat again... even though it wasn;t responding..it was looking at me.. LOL.. cos she didn't respond so i "scolded" it n asked it to go away.. then the cat really walk away.. lol.. maybe can't be bothered with me.. but i thought cats are rather nice to talk to man.. LOL!
Day 4: HAd breakfast.. checkout.. left for the jetty.. had my last ramly burger in tioman.. fed the fishes with bread.. then the boat came.. it looks like i'm the only one who dun feel like going back.. I SO Like tioman.. I'll miss tioman.. :(
